Chapel Green
A stunning 5-bedroom valley retreat in Polgooth featuring 1.3 acres of grounds, a private hot tub, and access to a heated indoor swimming pool and gym.
If you are planning a big family gathering or a reunion with friends in Cornwall, Chapel Green is the kind of place that ticks every single box. Tucked away at the head of a peaceful valley in the village of Polgooth, this stunning cottage offers a wonderful sense of seclusion while being close to some of the county's best attractions.
The house itself is spacious and full of character, blending modern comforts with traditional charm. It has been designed to make socialising easy, with a beautiful dining room centred around a large antique table—perfect for those long, laughter-filled holiday meals. The kitchen is a real country classic, featuring a gas-fired AGA that keeps the room toasty warm. For relaxing, you can head up to the first-floor living room to take in the views over the garden, or spread out in the conservatory.
Sleeping arrangements are brilliantly flexible, which is great for mixed groups. There are five bedrooms in total. On the ground floor, you will find two double rooms and a twin, along with a shower room, which is handy for anyone who prefers fewer stairs. Upstairs, there is a lovely king-size room and a truly impressive master suite with a four-poster bed and its own private bathroom.
The outside space is where this property really shines. You have 1.3 acres of lawned gardens to explore, so there is plenty of room for the kids and dogs to run free. A highlight is the sun deck, which is the ideal spot for a glass of wine on a warm evening. For ultimate relaxation, you have a private hot tub to sink into after a day of exploring.
Guests at Chapel Green also have access to some fantastic shared facilities that make a holiday here feel extra special. There is a heated indoor swimming pool available all year round, a gym if you are feeling active, and a games room that is a guaranteed hit with teenagers and adults alike.
Location-wise, you are perfectly placed. You can walk to the local pub, the Polgooth Inn, for a great meal. You are also just a short drive from the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and the stunning beaches of the Roseland Peninsula. The owners, Julie and David, are famous for their warm welcome. They often provide fresh homemade scones to make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
