Cuthbert Hill Farm
An award-winning 6-bedroom farmhouse in the Ribble Valley boasting breathtaking panoramic views, a sheltered hot tub, and a fantastic games room for the ultimate group getaway.
If you are planning a big get-together and want somewhere truly special, Cuthbert Hill Farm is a standout choice. This stunning sandstone farmhouse rests in the beautiful Ribble Valley near the quaint village of Chipping, and it is easy to see why it won a Visit England Rose Award. The first thing that will strike you is the view. The south-facing position offers incredible, uninterrupted panoramas of the countryside that stretch for miles—it is the kind of scenery you really have to see in person to appreciate.
Inside, the house is designed perfectly for large groups of up to twelve people. It feels spacious yet incredibly homely. You enter into a large dining and reception room with a characterful inglenook fireplace, where you can kick off your boots after a walk. The kitchen is a lovely blend of traditional farmhouse style and modern luxury, centred around a sleek island. It flows into the main dining area, where there is a huge oak table that seats everyone comfortably—perfect for those long, celebratory dinners with a view.
There is plenty of space to relax, too. You can unwind in the main sitting room in front of the wood-burning stove, or head to the fantastic games room. Packed with a snooker table, football table, and comfy bean bags, it is a brilliant hideaway for teenagers or adults looking for some friendly competition.
When it comes to sleeping arrangements, the house offers amazing flexibility. There are six bedrooms in total, all featuring high-end super-king-size beds that can be unzipped into twins if needed. This setup is ideal for mixed groups of friends or extended families. One bedroom has its own en-suite, and there are several other bathrooms, including a convenient ground-floor wet room.
The outside space is just as impressive. The large sandstone patio is the perfect spot for a BBQ or just sitting out with a drink to soak up the sunshine and those endless views. For a touch of luxury, there is a bubbling hot tub tucked away in a sheltered spot, so you can enjoy a soak whatever the weather.
The location is wonderful for exploring. You are just a short distance from Chipping, a chocolate-box village home to the oldest continuously trading shop in Britain. The area is a walker's paradise, with routes like the Parlick Pike circular right on your doorstep. The owner, Liz, is known for being incredibly welcoming and helpful, ensuring your stay is seamless from start to finish.
